The Fete on the 17th June was in aid of Hampshire Air Ambulance, Multiple Sclerosis and St. James the Less.

A very big 'thank you' must go to our sponsors and supporters (and the weather!) for making the day a resounding success....

Hampshire Air Ambulance

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Charity was launched in October 2005. This life saving charity relies entirely on voluntary donations and for this vital service to succeed, it needs to raise more than £65,000 every month - that's over £2000 every day. None of us know when we may need its help. Airborne within three minutes of a 999 call, the Air Ambulance will be able to reach most of Hampshire and Isle of Wight within fifteen minutes, and it can land in an area half the size of a tennis court.

Andover Multiple Sclerosis

This years fete is also in aid of the Andover branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Multiple sclerosis is a distressing, humiliating, and often drawn out disease to which there is no cure. For this reason quality of life for the patients and their families is paramount and as one of 350 branches nationwide, the Andover branch of the Multiple Sclerosis society provide information and support to people affected in the area.

Cutting Technologies

Cutting Technologies are the manufacturers of the Horse and Dog show medals and sponsors of various fete prizes; they are leaders in the field of Laser Cutting with clients ranging from the designer who needs to quickly see an idea as a prototyped part, to large organisations requiring volume manufacture for a time-critical project.

Andover Belly Dance

What we call belly dancing is far too old for scholars to know exactly how it began, but many historians believe that it first arose from childbirth rituals and celebrations. Yallah Andover Belly Dance are kind enough to be giving their time free of charge to perform at the fete this year. The low impact gentle aerobic exercise builds confidence and stamina with its beautiful movements. Classes and workshops are open to all ages and fitness levels (from 14 upwards).
Classes are held at St John the Baptist Church Hall, Alexander Road (Andover) and at Andover Leisure Center.
